ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Ace Parker was born Joseph Michael Parker on January 8th, 1994 in New Haven, Connecticut to an Irish-Italian American family. He was born at Yale-New Haven Hospital, and at the time of his birth, Ace had the second-largest baby head in the 168-year history of the hospital.

He was raised in nearby Branford by his mother, a New Haven schoolteacher, along with two younger sisters. After graduating from Branford High School, where he was captain and two-time leading scorer of the varsity hockey team, Ace went on to conclude his education at the University of Connecticut. 

​

Always an avid reader, Ace began to show a talent for writing at a young age. At the age of 10 his short story Owl Moon, adapted from Jane Yolen's children's book of the same title, was published in the Hartford Courant and New Haven Register.

After graduating from UCONN, Ace worked for the New York Islanders Hockey Club and Viacom in New York, before returning to Branford to focus more on writing. 

​

In addition to writing novels, Ace also writes screenplays, stage plays, sketches, satirical articles, as well as various opinion pieces. He is also a classically trained pianist, a moderate multi-instrumentalist, and a songwriter, many of his stage and screenplays are comedic musicals, including The Nature of The Game.
